China s 2020 Class Structure-This article analyzes China’s class composition around 2020 from a Marx
Contemporary Class Structure in China 2020 This article analyzes China’s class composition around 2020 from a Marxist perspective, pointing out that under the global capitalist system and large-scale industrialization, ownership of means of production remains the core determinant of social status. The author divides society into the proletariat at the bottom, a dependent semi-proletariat, a new petty bourgeoisie seeking to share in exploitation proceeds, and private capitalists who rose during reform and opening-up. The article highlights the concept of bureaucratic bourgeoisie, arguing that this ruling group controls the state apparatus to promote the expansion of state capital, essentially performing the function of appropriating surplus labor value. The work aims to reveal the exploitative essence and class antagonisms behind complex social phenomena, calling on people to see through appearances to grasp reality, so as to safeguard and spread genuine socialist thought in a period of complex contradictions.
