Why Planting Pine Trees Is Making Climate Change Worse (And What To Do Instead)
Think planting more trees is always good for the planet? Think again. This video breaks down the shocking findings from a massive EU research initiative, the COST Action CA15226, led by Roberto Tognetti, Melanie Smith, and Pietro Panzacchi. We reveal why unmanaged pine forests are actually accelerating the climate crisis, how our romanticized view of nature is leading to ecological disaster, and what 'Climate-Smart Forestry' really means. Discover the three non-negotiable pillars of forest management, the surprising role of deadwood, and the cutting-edge technology—from tree sensors to LiDAR—that could save our mountains. If you care about the future of our forests, you need to see this.
